Who we are

Southhoods Labradors is a small exclusive kennel situated in the outskirts of Maassluis (province South of Holland, The Netherlands). Since 1990 we are member of the "Nederlandse Labrador Vereniging" (Dutch Labrador Association) and since 1992 the kennel is registered with the “Raad van Beheer op Kynologische Gebied in Nederland” (Dutch Kennel Club) by number 30334.

Once or twice a year we breed a litter using a well considered combination. Both parent animals have to be checked on the hips and elbows by x-ray and guaranteed HD-, OCD- and LPC-free. They need to have a valid eye-certificate free of PRA and Cataract. Our dogs live in our home and the pups are born, raised and socialized in our home.

Vision and goals

The vision of Southhoods is to breed Labradors on a small scale which are on level with the breed standard and with the focus on the health and right character with a ‘will to please’.

Keeping in mind the wishes and family-situation of a potential buyer, we strive to find homes for our pups with people who are conscience in their choice for a Labrador and are willing to maintain the conditions for a good home and education. An important aspect in this is the understanding between breeder and buyer. We encourage regular contact, especially within the first year, for support with the growing-up and, if any, problems.
